Many retailers, particularly online, stock a wide range of JRC tackle from rod pods & bivvies to carp barrows and bite indicators.
I really like their catalogue of products they have to offer (JRC Carp Catalogue can be found here if your interested)
Anyway, amongst said tackle is the JRC Powerplay!
Constructed from a high modulus carbon blank, this rod comes in 2 sections.
It utilises 6 high quality SIC guides (the largest at 40mm)
Moving further down to the reel section, a big pit reel would easily fit into the secure 20mm reel seat provided.
There’s an abbreviated duplon handle and a nice rubber butt completes the finish nicely.
This 2.75lb test curve model weighs in at 268g -which is not exactly the lightest rod we’ve reviewed.

JRC Powerplay Spod Rod
Summary
Retailing at about £50, there are other carp rods that provide better value for money.
It does look well made, and performed solidly – there are just better options out there.
